Andrew found a love of performance when he joined the St Andrews Cathedral Choir at the age of 10, and went on to train in Opera and Musical Theatre singing throughout high school. He planned to become an Engineer, but this was hijacked when he was cast as the Tinman in his high school production of The Wizard of Oz. It was at this moment that he decided that performing was the yellow brick road for him.
Andrew went on to complete the Diploma of Musical Theatre at NIDA where he was tutored by Phillip Quast, Anne-Maree McDonald, Simon Phillips, and Mitchell Butel. From there he signed with FOCUS Talent Management and joined their flagship vocalist group Harmonia. He then went on to begin his Bachelor of Performing Arts at the wonderful ACA. In his time here, Andrew has had the privilege of exploring some excellent roles: Pete – Speaking in Tongues (dir. Troy Harrison), Mal – Don’s Party (dir. Jonathan Mill), Vershinin – Three Sisters (dir. Sam Trotman), Christian – Cyrano De Bergerac (dir. Madeline Diggins), Jason – Medea (dir. Louisa Panucci), Howie – Rabbit Hole (dir. Kim Hardwick), Morgan – The Inheritance (dir. Troy Harrison), and Bernard – Arcadia (dir. Adam Cook). Andrew is excited to begin his professional career and mark his mark in the performing industry.
