Reid grew up in Auckland, New Zealand. Before acting, he was a gymnast and represented NZ at the World Championships and Commonwealth Games. In 2016, he completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University ofAuckland and began working in commercial real estate. After a few years of selling property and performing circus professionally, Reid landed a role on Power Rangers (dir. Simon Bennett). This experience inspired him to move to Australia and train professionally. Reid is now a passionate actor, filmmaker, and acrobat based in Sydney.
During his time at ACA, Reid played the following characters: Roo in Kid Stakes (dir. Jonathan Mill), Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (dir. Claudia Barrie), Stiva in Anna Karenina (dir. Clara Voda). various roles in Love and Information (dir. Alexander Berlage), as well as directing The Lieutenant of lnishmore.
