Lucasta was born in Brisbane. At just two years old, she was scouted by a gymnastics coach and subsequently began a 15-year career as an elite-level gymnast. During this time, she began involving herself in musical theatre as a creative and emotional outlet away from the rigidity of her gymnastic training.
At the age of 17, she retired from gymnastics and decided to dedicate herself to acting full- time. In 2020 Lucasta made her American television debut as Denisa Taylor in ABC’s Reef Break and starred in Telly Award-winning short film The Learner. Following these roles, Lucasta made the difficult yet rewarding decision to leave Brisbane as she sought to further develop her professional skills through conservatory training. This culminated in a successful audition with ACA, where for the last three years, she has flourished under the school’s guidance.
During her time at the school, Lucasta was lucky enough to perform the following roles: Katerina in Concussion (dir. Johann Walraven), Jenny in A Moment on the Lips (dir. Claudia Barrie), Natalya in A Month in The Country (dir. Maeliosa Stafford), Oberon/Theseus in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (dir. Claudia Barrie), Dolores in Dolores (dir. Kim Hardwick), and Fitzwilliam Darcy and Mrs Bennet in Pride and Prejudice 2.0 (dir. Adam Cook).
