Katy’s passion for acting was ignited at the age of 12 after getting accepted into her high school’s drama excellence program. From her previous years as a dancer, she was no stranger to performing arts and quickly began acting in plays and subsequently winning awards at the Gold Coast Drama Festival. She moved to Sydney to pursue her passion at ACA.
During her time at ACA, Katy had the pleasure of performing Julia in Concussion (dir. Johann Walraven), Olive in Kid Stakes (dir. Jonathan Mill), Jacques in As You Like It (dir. Adam Cook), Anna in A Month in The Country (dir. Maeliosa Stafford), Agnes in Bug (dir. Troy Harrison) and various roles in Love and Information (dir. Alexander Berlage). Katy also directed the play Consent by Nina Raine.
Throughout the past three years, Katy has explored many facets of the creative process both in and outside of ACA, from writing to directing, filmmaking and even casting. This exploration has left her hungry to dive headfirst into the industry and continue creating work.
