As a Latina, Candice Mejias has always had a flare for the dramatic. With a strong background in dance, the Cuban-Australian actress offers professional skills and a dedicated work ethic.
Candice always dreamed of taking her talents to the big screen and became captivated by the craft of acting while studying at Brent Street Academy from the age of 12. After playing Abigail in The Crucible, she was hooked. Upon finishing this training, she moved to New York and studied at the Atlantic Theatre Company. Candice became enamoured with acting after her adventures and decided to make a big leap into auditioning for drama school.
In her time at ACA, Candice has had the pleasure to play Anna in Anna Karenina (dir. Clara Voda) Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice 2.0 (dir. Adam Cook), Lady Percy in Henry IV, Part 7 (dir. Frankie Savige), Vanda in Venus in Fur (dir. Ryan Whitworth), Dominique in A Moment on the Lips (dir. Claudia Barrie), Sandra in Dolores (dir. Kim Hardwick), Duke Senior in As You Like it (dir. Adam Cook), and Steph in Daylight Saving (dir. Troy Harrison).
