Born in Sydney, Alex Chalwell has been pursuing acting since he was snuck into the lighting box above the Sydney Theatre Company with a packet of raspberry liquorice, and allowed to watch on from above an engrossed audience. Prior to entering the Actor’s Centre Australia, he performed in a variety of small theatre productions, and within an award winning Theatresports troupe.
His highlights throughout the course have been playing Trofimov in Anthony Skuse’s production of “The Cherry Orchard”, Puck in Jennifer West and George Ogilvie’s “All the World’s a Stage”, and working with Adam Cook in the American Showcase.
He looks forward to writing, and creating more theatre with this ensemble.
