Originally from Adelaide, Angus has always wanted to tell stories. His debut show entitled: The Desire for Froggy To Sleep Despite Being to Excited to do so opened behind his living room couch to tremendous reviews at aged 5. Graduating high school in 2008, he spent the next year living and working in Canada and Europe. Upon returning, he undertook a BA at Flinders University majoring in Creative Writing and Film. He was inspired to take up acting after seeing the Brink production of When the Rain Stops Falling in 2010. After relocating to Sydney in 2012, Angus undertook short courses at the Actors Centre prior to being accepted into the full- time course in 2014. During this period, he featured in a major TVC campaign for Sony and a music video for Australian folk duo The Falls. Highlights of Angus’s time at ACA include; discovering physical theatre with Samantha Chester; devising and re-interpreting historical theatre with Anthony Skuse; developing his singing ability with Lisa Schouw and Peter Bailey; performing in Gogol’s The Government Inspector directed by George Ogilvie, and, playing the character of Eddie in Sam Shepard’s Fool For Love directed by Gale Edwards.
Angus is also a skilled and passionate guitarist and singer and hopes to develop this avenue in tandem with his acting endeavours. Upon graduating, Angus aims to be a multi faceted, driven, versatile collaborator across a wide range of performance mediums.
