Growing up in Western Sydney, Ben Itaba’s love for performing and for film was cultivated at a young age. He made short films with family members, immersed himself in movies, and enjoyed making his friends laugh. It wasn’t until starting his journey at ACA that his love for theatre exploded too.
During his time at ACA, Ben loved exploring his range playing roles such as Harry in Away, Yasha in The Cherry Orchard, Father Jack in Dancing at Lughnasa, Nick Bottom/Egeus in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Ginger in SIMMER, Eddie Carbone in A View from the Bridge, and Billy Blake in Stags and Hens (The Remix). Ben also loved designing the sets for four of the past five productions he has acted in and enjoys set design and construction as a hobby.
Ben is a hungry and hardworking performer who is keen to continue learning throughout his entire career. He is excited to act, write, and direct in the future, and is currently working on his first feature film project. In January 2025, will reprise his role as Billy Blake in Stags and Hens (The Remix) at the New Theatre.
